I want to create work on my computer at home and take it to school. Can I do that?

The law concerning correct distribution and use of software can be complex. This real-world example puts it into everyday context.

A teacher purchased the font(s) for 5 CPUs and wants to use the font off-site (at school).
Firstly, the font must have been purchased by you personally. As the licence holder, you may Print to PDF on your home computer and transport the document to school for printing. That is fine so long as the PDFs themselves are not distributed in school (or anywhere else).

Distributing the PDF file itself (or other file in which the fonts are embedded) would require a File Embedding Licence (FELA), because the font or a sub-set of the font is being distributed.
