MS-Word and other applications to display joined text

Answer: There are two ways to do this...

Method 1
Copy the joined text and Paste into another document.
Here's how:
Select the text in Sassoon Joiner, choose Edit > Copy.
Open another document (in Word for example) and Paste.
NOTE
When pasted into a document that DOES understand Rich Text Format, the text will appear in the correct font and be joined. When pasted into a document that DOES NOT understand Rich Text Format, the text will appear in a default font (Arial) and looks gobbledegook. Just select the text and choose the Sassoon font again from the Font menu.

Method 2
Join your text in Sassoon Joiner, Save As 'Rich Text Format'.
Here's how:
1. Launch Sassoon Joiner and enter your text, which will join according to the Preferences you set.

2. Check your spelling and correct it now.

3. Select File > Save As... > Rich Text Format
Leaving the .rtf extension in the document title allows any program that understands RTF to open/display the fonts correctly.

To Open in MS-Word, change the extension to .doc or docx or whatever the extension required by your version of Word.
4. Double-click the document or Open from Word and continue to format the size, colour paragraph etc.

5. To change joins, or correct spelling, you must go back to Sassoon Joiner and 'Save As' again in the format rtf or doc, as only Sassoon Joiner can calculate the necessary joins.

Opening a document Saved with the .sas extension will launch Sassoon Joiner and automatically install its own embedded fonts.

THE SEPARATE FONT INSTALLER
Registered Users may use the 'Font Installer' included in the product package to place fonts into their Operating System. This enables fonts to display correctly in Saved document formats such as .sas, .rtf, .doc, .docx when Sassoon Joiner is not running. However, if changes are needed to spelling or joins, this must be done again in Sassoon Joiner

If fonts have NOT been installed separately, using the Font Installer, the fonts will not display in documents. Fonts are only active while Sassoon Joiner is running.
