How do I get joined words into MS-Word documents?

A: Join your text in Sassoon Joiner and Copy it for pasting into documents from other programs such as Word.

Solution:
Fonts are just receptacles for letters There is no 'font' in the universe at this moment that can automatically make 'joins' in context with the User's words and letter 'Preferences'. For that you must use some other intelligence (an application like Sassoon Joiner). Also be aware that this is a tool for teachers to prepare worksheets etc., and not for pupils to use on their own. We therefore assume the User has had some basic use of programs. The Sassoon Joiner application has been carefully designed to be as easy to use as possible, whilst giving the User maximum flexibility to continue using their preferred text editing program, such as MS-Word.

Here are the actions that can be taken...
1. Run MS-Word of whichever application you intend to manipulate joined text with. (Create a new blank page if necessary).

2. Run Sassoon Joiner application, click Preferences to set how your important letters and joins will look throughout you text.

3. Click Level 1, enter your text in Sassoon Joiner's Level 1 window, (which allows you to spell check your words/story before joining).

4. Click the 'Main' button to view all levels of buttons. Click level 2, 3 or 4. Click the 'Join' button. Joiner does the hard work of calculating which joins to make and where. Your joined text appears.

5. To transfer your joined text to Word, click the "Copy" button. This places the text into the Clipboard (memory) of your Computer. (A reminder dialog, which can be turned off, explains what to do next )...

6. Switch to Word. Use the Windows menu command Edit > Paste (or keyboard Ctrl + v), or Mac OS Edit > Paste (or keyboard Command + V). This places the joined text into your Word document. Please be aware that Word is not a Page Layout application. Although it is used extensively to create pages other than text, it is a Word Processor and therefore does not remember which font is Pasted, so the text will appear in the default font, probably Arial.

7. To format the text back to the required font, while the text is still highlighted in the Word document, simply use the 'Format' menu to choose one of the Sassoon Joiner fonts; Sassoon Two GB, Sassoon Three GB or Sassoon Four GB.

So Sassoon Joiner does what is says; it joins. Now you may continue to use your favourite program (Word) to format the text in any way you wish. After all, that's where you want to be isn't it! Importantly, because the fonts are installed into your Operating System, they are available to ANY program that has a font menu, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Works etc, etc.

So, an application must be used to drive the font's actions.
