Unlocking products from the 3.0-4.1 CDIf you received a Sassoon Installer CD, then created and order form and mailed it to us; when your Purchase Order (organisations) or cheque (individuals) has been received, you will be sent password(s) by either Post, Fax or Email (whichever you choose) to unlock the products purchased. An invoice will be sent for your records or a credit/debit card will have been debited.If you experience any problems with the information or require other help, please contact us. Technical support is free. In any correspondence please quote your CD ID. Unlock each item separately from Sassoon Installer. Enter only the characters after the colon. The password(s) will be in the following format... S101W: 573YRaEgApKNT33cjsDG UNLOCKING ADVICE (SASSOON INSTALLER CD VERSION 3.0 to 4.1) Compatible with: Win 98, 2000, ME, NT, XP/Mac OS 8.5-9.2 & 10.x This has two stages described below. Before starting, it is important to know where you 'Sassoon Installer Folder' has been stored when it was installed from the CD. You will need to navigate there during this procedure. 1. Unlocking the files from the CD to your Hard Disk. Please run the Sassoon Installer application, click the padlock icon to go to the unlocking window. Make sure there is a check mark in the box to the left of the item to be unlocked. Enter the password in the empty field on the right, as your reminder of which fonts you purchased. Click the "Install" button. A message appears asking "Please locate the file to be unlocked from... "Sassoon CD/Locked fonts". Click OK. Locate the Sassoon CD in its Drive, then open the Locked fonts Folder and select the item number you wish to unlock. Click 'Open'. A dialogue now appears asking you to 'Select the destination for the expanded result'. It is recommended that you save your unlocked items in the folder entitlted 'Unlocked fonts' which is provided for you inside the 'Sassoon Installer Folder'. For example, below we have assumed the Sassoon installer Folder has been stored in C:\Program Files. The normal place for all programs to be stored. If you have saved your Sassoon Installer Folder somewhere else, you should navigate there instead. WINDOWS USERS: To select a Destination Folder navigate to your "C" drive, "Program Files", "Sassoon Installer Folder". Open the Folder, select (highlight) 'Unlocked fonts'. Click OK. MAC OS USERS: To select a Destination Folder navigate to your Hard Drive, locate the "Sassoon Installer Folder". Open the Folder, select (highlight) 'Unlocked fonts'. Click OK. Enter the password, then OK. A progress bar appears during unlocking. A successful password results in the pthname to the file being displayed. You may click "OK". If errors occur, click OK, then Continue unlocking fonts' to be taken back to the list of products to be unlcoked and try again. 2. After the fonts/software have been unlocked from the CD, the next prompt asks if you would like to print instructions for installing fonts into your operating system. FONTS ONLY If you have unlocked font items only, please read and follow these instructions or visit one of these Frequently Asked Questions website page before seeking technical support... Manual installation of Windows fonts or Manual installation of Mac OS fonts APPLICATIONS WITH FONTS INCLUDED There is no need to Print font install instructions unless you wish to do so for future reference. Sassoon Joiner and Sassoon Sum Builder have self-installers. Running the installer automatically installs fonts during installation. (A unique serial number will be issued to you in the format of: 9590022 and must be entered when the program is first launched in order to register it to you). You may 'Exit Sassoon Installer now', or if further items need to be unlocked, click "Continue unlocking fonts" and begin the unlocking procedure again for the next item. |
