If I purchase fonts for Windows can I also install them on a Mac? And visa versa?

At purchase time you are prompted to purchase either for Windows OR for Macintosh.

For example, if fonts are purchased for Windows, the Installer that is downloaded will only function on a Windows computer. The same is true for the Macintosh. Each of the Installer applications can only be used for that particular Operating system.

As an example, if fonts purchased for Windows are also required on Macintosh, there are two ways to achieve this.

1. At no additional cost, once the fonts have been installed onto the Windows computer, a Folder containing a backup set of fonts is copied to the Hard Disk, usually at
C:\Program files (x86)\Sassoon Folder.

Because the OpenType fonts are 'cross-platform' the same files used for Windows also work on the Macintosh. The files just need to be transferred and installed manually. This can be done by first copying the Sassoon Folder onto a removeable disk/drive and copying the Sassoon Folder onto the Macintosh Hard Drive. From there, just double-click each font file and choose 'Install Font'.

If fonts are initially purchased for Macintosh, the same method can be used to transfer them to Windows. First copy the Folder from
Macintosh HD/Applications/Sassoon Folder.

2. At a small additional cost, the same easy-to-use Installer can be purchased for the Macintosh, enabling installation in a more convenient and automatic way.

To obtain an additional Installer (for Mac or Windows), you will need the Transaction ID for the already purchased product. This can be found on both the 'Receipt for Purchase' email or the 'Information for Purchase' email sent to you from Kagi. Quote the TID in the 'Reason for payment' section and state which Installer is required. For example

Transaction ID: CHKCNQEWCDS4. Installer for Mac required

Enter the amount to pay (£10) in the Licence Fee payment page...

After checking your Transaction ID the additional Installer will be sent to your email.
